Privacy Policy
Last updated November 4, 2026 · App policy
This policy explains how Kwerti handles your information. The app works without an account and does not send your name or saved reminders to the developer.
Information on your device
Kwerti stores the display name you choose, the IDs and order of your saved reminders, and the previous launch greeting so the next launch can use a different one. These values are used only to personalize your greeting, remember saved thoughts, and vary the launch subtitle. Onboarding asks for a display name; it does not need to be your real name. You can change it later in Settings.
Kwerti also stores which thoughts you have seen, which thoughts have been notified, the latest notification and whether you opened it, and your daily reading batch and progress. These records remain on your device and help avoid repeats, resume reading, and enforce the Free daily limit. Your notification schedule, theme and sound choices, widget preferences, and local key-tap total are also stored on your device. The reminder library, artwork, fonts, and keyboard recordings are bundled app resources. Tapping a key plays a recording; it does not record you or read your keyboard input in other apps.
Kwerti does not operate an account system or a server that receives this local app information. It does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. Subscriptions use RevenueCat and, in store-enabled builds, the applicable app store as described below. It does not sell or rent personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
Permissions and device access
The current app does not request microphone, camera, contacts, photos, or location access. It reads system settings such as text size, screen-reader status, and Reduce Motion to make the interface accessible. It also checks whether the app is active to manage animations and sound.
Optional reminders are scheduled locally using system notification permission. Native Android widgets use the launcher; iOS, Expo Go and web do not provide native Android widget placement. Android development and release builds use Google Play billing. No-charge test purchases require a Google Play license-test account; a development build alone does not make purchases free.
Subscriptions and RevenueCat
Android development and release builds connect to RevenueCat and Google Play to retrieve products, process purchases and check Premium access. Configured iOS development builds use RevenueCat Test Store; iOS release billing requires separate Apple store configuration. RevenueCat uses a generated app user identifier and processes subscription transaction and entitlement information, along with technical request information needed to provide the service. The developer can inspect customer and purchase records in the RevenueCat dashboard. Your chosen name and saved reminder content are not sent to RevenueCat by this integration.
RevenueCat Test Store purchases are simulations and do not charge you. Clearing local app storage does not by itself delete RevenueCat sandbox records. Contact the developer for questions about test records. Store-enabled Android builds use Google Play billing. Google processes payment details under its policies; Kwerti does not receive your payment card details. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement information needed to provide and restore Premium access.
Storage, backups, and security
Local preferences are stored in the app’s private storage using the operating system’s app isolation. They are not an encrypted vault. Avoid using sensitive information as your display name, and protect your device with its security settings.
Kwerti does not provide its own cloud backup or synchronization. Your operating system may include app data in cloud backups or device transfers, depending on your settings. A backup or transfer may restore local data after reinstallation. Those copies are handled by your device or backup provider; the developer does not receive them from Kwerti.
Retention and deleting local data
Your name, saved reminder IDs, and last launch greeting remain in local storage until changed or removed. Closing or updating the app normally preserves them. You can change your name in Settings and unsave a reminder using its heart button.
To remove all local Kwerti data on Android, use the device Settings app to open Kwerti’s app information and clear its storage or app data. On iOS, use Delete App rather than Offload App to remove the installed app and its local data. Menu names vary by device. If you use a web preview, clear its site data in your browser.
Deleting installed app data does not necessarily delete copies in an operating-system backup. Manage those separately in your backup settings. The developer cannot remotely retrieve or erase information held only on your device or in your backups. There is no Kwerti account to delete.
When you contact support
If you choose to email johncarlonas@gmail.com, the developer receives your email address, your message, and anything you attach. Opening the email link does not send a message automatically, and Kwerti does not attach your saved reminders, display name, or diagnostics. Please send only information needed to explain your question.
Support correspondence is used to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and meet any applicable legal obligations. It is handled through Gmail and the email services used to deliver your message, which may process it in the countries where they operate. It is not used for advertising or mailing-list enrollment.
Support correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations, then deleted. You may request access, correction, or deletion of correspondence by emailing the same address. Any legally required retention will be explained when applicable. These requests do not require you to send your local app data.
App stores and external pages
When an update feed is configured, Kwerti requests public release information over HTTPS on launch, when returning to the app, and when you check for updates. The hosting provider receives routine connection information such as your IP address to serve the request. Kwerti does not include your display name, saved reminders or reading history in this request.
Apple, Google, and your device provider may separately process download, purchase, backup, or diagnostic information under their own policies and your device settings. This is separate from the local information Kwerti stores. Store-provided reports may be available to the developer according to the store’s settings and policies.
If you open an external link, the destination handles your visit under its own privacy policy. If you read Kwerti’s public information pages on the web, the hosting provider may process routine request information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver and secure the pages. Kwerti’s public information pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts, signup forms, or tracking cookies.
Children’s privacy
Kwerti is a general-audience reminder app and is not specifically directed to children. It does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through the app. A parent or guardian who believes a child has sent personal information to support can contact the developer to request its deletion, subject to applicable legal obligations.
Changes and privacy questions
This policy describes the current version of Kwerti. If features or data practices change, the policy and its date will be updated. Any notice or consent required by applicable law will be provided before the relevant new processing begins.
For privacy questions or requests, email johncarlonas@gmail.com. You may also have rights under your local privacy law, including the right to complain to the relevant data-protection authority.
This website and its interactive demo
The app policy above is reproduced from Kwerti’s in-app Privacy Policy. This additional section explains the landing page demo, last updated November 7, 2026.
This website stores your chosen color theme and the IDs of demo thoughts you favorite in your browser’s local storage. These choices are not sent to the developer and do not sync with the app. Sound selection and sound on/off remain in memory for the current visit. No microphone or keyboard monitoring is used; pressing a demo key plays a bundled recording.
Clear your browser’s site data to remove these choices, or use the Reset demo button on the home page. The site contains no analytics, advertising, tracking cookies, signup forms, or embedded third-party media. Fonts and sounds are served with the site.
The hosting provider receives routine connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, to deliver and secure the pages. If this preview requires a hosting-provider sign-in, that provider handles authentication under its own policies. Store and email links open external services under their policies.
